Mrs. Joyce started in real estate in 1965 and opened her own company, Conn Realty, in 1978. Since then, a host of talented realtors have worked under Mrs. Joyce and gone on to excel in customer service and satisfaction, the cornerstone of Conn Realty’s mission statement. Joyce has been an active member of several local organizations including the Jones County Chamber of Commerce, DAR, Pilot Club and the Gray Garden Club. In Addition, she has always participated in the Real Estate continuing education process including earning her GRI, CRS and Master Appraiser designations.
The mother of six children, family has always been important to Mrs. Joyce. She takes great pride in the fact that several members of her family decided to follow her footsteps and join her in the real estate business. Her late son Bill Conn Jr., a realtor and active member of the community, lost his battle with Hodgkin’s disease in 1996. Today, a local highway connector in Jones County is named in his honor, “The Bill Conn Parkway,” has been a major contributor to the continued growth of Jones County. Bill’s innovative idea help to connect two major roads and his background in real estate helped to make the idea come to life.
Today, Four members of the family are a part of the Conn real estate team. Candy Conn McMahon, Mary Beth Conn, John Conn and Tom McMahon are very involved in the real estate business as well as the ongoings of the middle georgia communities and schools. In addition, Conn Realty has several other very talented agents, including Jay Cochran, Tracey McMillan, Janet Herndon and Rick Childs.
